El Perro del Mar is the artist name of Sarah Assbring, a singer and songwriter from Göteborg, Sweden, whose delicately low-key and wistful compositions evoke the sweet pop sounds and harmonies of the 1950s and 60s. According to the artist herself, "El Perro del Mar is the name of the music that I had been dreaming of and planning on making for a long time."Over the past few years, El Perro del Mar has toured and collaborated with fellow Swedish indie stars José González, Jens Lekman, Hell on Wheels and the Concretes.
