The first exhibition to be held in House of Sweden explored the many faces Swedish design and architecture, featuring modern design from various regions of Sweden. The architectural design of the House itself, as a foundation for diplomacy and openness, was also examined.

Various exhibitions throughout the House featured modern design in the form of furniture, fashion, building technology and artwork in the form of silver, stone, textiles and wood.
