Ingmar Bergman Face to Face features thousands of stills, video clips and newly written texts, focusing not only on Bergman's internationally famous work in film and television, but also his lesser-known radio plays, theater and opera productions, as well as his books and essays.The Swedish version of the website launched last September and was voted the 2005 Swedish Cultural Website of the Year. Since then, the site has won numerous additional awards for its content and design. The life and works of Ingmar Bergman continue to fascinate people all over the world. In 2001, Bergman donated his collected archives to the Swedish Film Institute. Following the donation, the Film Institute, in partnership with the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Svensk Filmindustri and Sveriges Television, founded the Ingmar Bergman Foundation, the initiator of the website. The ambition of the foundation has been to produce an informative, balanced and complete website about Bergman's life and work.
