Orrefors Glass Designer Ingegerd Råman Featured at Clearly First

One of Sweden's most distinguished glass designers, Ingegerd Råman works for the renowned Orrefors glassworks since 1999 and is currently being featured at the showroom Clearly First in Manhattan.

Ingegerd Råman is a glass artist and ceramist, educated at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and Instituto Statale D'Arte per la Ceramica in Faenza, Italy.  Prior to joining Orrefors, she worked for the Johanfors and Skruf glassworks.  Her studio is located on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm.  Her designs have been displayed in museums, design boutiques and galleries in both Europe and North America.  Her work has been commissioned by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swedish Royal Court.

The work of Ingegerd Råman is simple and pure, characterized by timeless designs and derived from fundamental forms and shapes.  In her own words, her "work is always a link between simplicity, function and aesthetic values."
