Now the group is set to seduce American fans all over again with a fifth studio album, entitled Long Gone Before Daylight, released by KOCH Records on May 25. In addition to all the tracks from the original European version, the U.S. release features an exclusive bonus track, as well as a DVD with several videos, an interview with the band, and three live performances from the Roskilde Music Festival, including the hits "Lovefool" and "My Favourite Game".In support of the album, the group is making their first U.S. appearance in five years, kicking off a major North American tour in with three sold-out concerts in the New York City area on May 8-10. The final performance will be in Los Angeles on May 25, the same day the album hits record stores across the country.Following their last album, Gran Turismo, The Cardigans temporarily enjoyed some time off from hectic touring schedules. Singer Nina Persson, as well as guitarist Peter Svensson and bassist Magnus Sveningsson, have each been involved in solo/writing projects.
