Magdalena Andersson and Isabella Lövin Attends Spring Meetings of World Bank and IMF in D.C.

Sweden's Minister for Finance, Magdalena Andersson, and Minister for International Development Cooperation and Climate, and Deputy Prime Minister, Isabella Lövin, is in Washington D.C to attend the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) between April 20-23.

The main themes of the meetings are the state of the global economy, inclusive growth, and the future role and resources of the World Bank. More information here.

In connection with the Spring Meetings, Ms Lövin will speak at a seminar hosted by Embassy of Sweden in Washington, World Resources Institute and the Haga Initiative on climate-smart growth and the role of the private sector in climate change adaptation. Seminar participants will include Honorary Chair of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate and former President of Mexico Felipe Caldéron, representatives of the World Resources Institute and the Haga Initiative and several business executives. Minister Lövin also visited California on her visit to the U.S. During the visit, Ms Lövin met with California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr and representatives of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) among others. More information here.
