DC’s Nordic Film Week opens on September 27th at the Avalon Theatre and continues throughout the week at the Nordic Embassies. 

On the opening night, Avalon Theatre will show a charming Cannes Film Festival winner, The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki.

On October 1st, you're welcome to House of Sweden where we will show the "The Hundred Year Old Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared".  A swedish film that was nominated for an Oscar in 2016 for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling.

As part of DC’s Nordic Film Week, the Avalon presents a selection of delightful animated short films from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. This entertaining series, suitable for children of all ages, incorporates universally understood themes of adventure, perseverance, respect, humor and love.
