Office of Science and Innovation – Growth Analysis

The task of the Office of Science and Innovation, Embassy of Sweden is to facilitate research and development cooperation and other exchange of knowledge between Sweden and the U.S.

The office monitors, analyzes and reports on important trends in research, innovation and growth at the federal and state levels in the U.S. The Office of Science and Technology is part of the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis (Growth Analysis).

Growth Analysis is a government agency under the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. Growth Analysis is charged by the Government to make assess and analyze growth policy. One of the main tasks is gathering foreign based policy intelligence for effective Swedish growth policies.

The Agency’s overriding objective is to strengthen Swedish competitiveness and create the conditions for more jobs in more and growing companies throughout the country. The focus is on development where growth and sustainability goes hand in hand.  Growth Analysis is a worldwide, cross-border organization with 60 employees.

Growth Analysis’ headquarters are located in Östersund, Sweden, but activities are also conducted in Stockholm, Brussels, New Delhi, Beijing, San Francisco, Tokyo and Washington, D.C. Our employees have growth policy expertise in a number of different fields. We also collaborate with other authorities such as Vinnova and the Ministry of Education and Research, and we often engage external experts to achieve the best possible results.
