Launching Swedish Sustainable Business
On October 16, 2012 the Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Trade Council in Warsaw launched a joint a CSR platform under the umbrella project Swedish Sustainable Business.
Through this project, Swedish companies' show their commitment to sustainable development and CSR. CSR is not only politically correct, but also good business, constituting an integral part of the companies' core business. By fostering values such as equality, non-discrimination and sustainable development those Swedish companies signal their long-term interest in the Polish market and their positive involvement in Polish society.
The opening ceremony, which was attended by Polish representatives of Polish civil society, decision-makers, journalists and Swedish companies with operations in Poland, took place at the Swedish Residence and opening address was delivered by Sweden's CRS Ambassador Bengt E Johansson. The participating Swedish companies were Skanska, Mölnlycke and First Recycling.
