Fees

You pay a fee for your residence permit application. The money is not refunded if your application is rejected.

Fee for residence permits for studies

Adults: SEK 1 000, to be paid in local currecy (IRR) 
Children under 18 years: SEK 500, to be paid in local currecy (IRR)

Fee for family members

Adults: SEK 1 000, to be paid in local currecy (IRR)  
Children under 18 years: SEK 500, to be paid in local currecy (IRR)  

Payment

If you are applying online, you pay with a credit card or a bank card.

If you are applying on a paper form, you must pay the application fee before visiting the embassy. You can pay the fee at Pasargard bank. The fee is to be paid into account number 224-8100-20202020-1 and the account holder is ‘Swedish Embassy’. Ypu cannot pay the fee for a paper application via Internet.

Exemptions

Some people are not required to pay for their applications, including the following:

  • Students on scholarships from Sida or another Swedish organisation or international organisation, such as the EU or UNICEF

Study fees

You may also be required to pay a fee for your studies. This is decided by each respective university or university college. Contact the school concerned for information.
