If your application for a Schengen-visa has been refused you can appeal against the decision. The appeal must be in writing, signed by you, and must be presented at or arrive at the Consulate no later than three weeks after the date you received the decision.
The appeal must state:
- Which decision you wish to appeal.
- How you want the decision to be changed.
- Your name, date of birth, postal address and telephone number.
- Any circumstances or evidence/proof that you wish to add to your case.
If someone else signs the appeal on your behalf, that person must be authorized to represent you (power of attorney). The power of attorney document must be signed by you and submitted in original together with your appeal.
It is the Consulate that initially decides whether to review the decision. If it decides not to change its decision, the case is forwarded to the Migration Court in Sweden.
