THEATER & MUSIC: Pippi Longstocking in the Bay Area

One of the Swedish children’s writer Astrid Lindgren’s most beloved characters, Pippi Longstocking, has set out on adventure in the Bay Area. 

In January 2017, Bay Area Children’s Theatre presents a musical adaptation of the children book series with the stubborn little girl with the red pigtails and an extraordinary strength, who continues to captivate children and grown up alike, generation after generation.

The Astrid Lindgren story has been adapted for the stage by Thomas W. Olson and directed by Michael Mohammed.  The featured music is produced by Roberta Carlson and with the help of Victor Zupanc.

The opening date for Pippi Longstocking is 21January 2017 and performances will be offered at two Bay Area locations, Berkeley and San Francisco.
