Swedish author Karolina Ramqvist will participate in LitQuake, San Francisco’s Literary Festival,on Friday, October 13.

LitQuake presents the program "Longform Fiction from Europe" with readings and discussion from some of Europe’s top novelists currently on book tour. With Karolina Ramqvist (Sweden), Dominique Fabre (France), Nicola Lagioia (Italy), and Nina Weijers (Netherlands). Moderated by San Francisco Chronicle book editor John McMurtrie.

Karolina Ramqvist

Karolina Ramqvist is one of the most influential Swedish writers and feminists of her generation, beginning with her critically acclaimed 2009 book The Girlfriend (Flickvännen). Her 2012 generational coming-of-age-novel The Beginning (Alltings början) rocketed into instant cult status and placed Ramqvist in the national spotlight as a powerful literary voice. In 2014, she made her screenwriting debut with the award-winning short film Cupcake. Her latest novel, The White City (Den vita staden), was published in 2015 and received the prestigious P.O. Enquist Literary Prize. She lives in Stockholm with her husband and three children.
