The Consulate General
The Honorary Consulate General of Sweden in San Francisco represents Sweden in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Its mission is to provide assistance to Swedes and to promote Swedish interests in the Bay Area.
The Honorary Consulate General consists of:
- The Section for Consular Affairs
- The Section for Information and Culture
Section for Consular Affairs
Handles issues relating to passports, residence permits based and emergency assistance. Visas for residents of California are processed at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in San Francisco.
Section for Information and Culture
Facilitates exchange between Sweden and the U.S., organizes and promotes events and provides information about Sweden and Swedish activities in California.
Location and hours
The Consulate General of Sweden in San Francisco is located on 505 Sansome Street in Suite 1010. You can easily reach the Consulate with public transportation. Closest BART and MUNI station is Montgomery Street Station or Embarcadero Station.
