If you are a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport and would like to travel to Sweden for a visit (tourism or business travel etc.) and your stay will not exceed 90 days, you do not require a visa. However, please note that your passport must be valid for at least three months after the intended date of departure from the EU/Schengen area.

The Schengen area consists of 26 countries who have agreed on common visa rules. This means that a visa issued by one of the member states is also valid for travel to all the other member states (exceptions might apply, and will be stated on your visa sticker).

Based on an agreement between the Nordic countries, the processing of Schengen visa applications in Canada for travellers going to Sweden is handled by the Embassy of Denmark in Ottawa.
