FILM: "Every Face Has a Name" at Toronto Jewish Film festival

The documentary: "Every Face Has A Name" by Swedish filmmaker Magnus Gertten is screening at the Jewish Film Festival in Toronto, May 15 at 8pm.

As World War II drew to a close, the Swedish Red Cross arranged a famous rescue operation called the White Buses, where over 15,000 people were rescued from several concentration camps and brought to Sweden. Seventy years later, filmmaker Magnus Gertten tracks down some of these refugees to show them original, rarely-seen newsreel footage of their arrival in Malmö, Sweden in 1945. While watching this incredible footage of themselves, survivors suddenly remember faces, names and stories about friends, family and the feeling of renewed life.
