Swedish goldsmith Göran Kling is 92Y Jewelry Center’s very first artist-in-residence. Göran Kling is inspired by American popular culture and he was chosen for the residency program by a jury including representatives from the Museum of Arts and Design, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cooper Hewitt Museum.

The 92Y Jewelry Artist Residency Program is a month-long self-directed program specializing in jewelry and metalsmithing that provides the time and space for the chosen artist to create, research, experiment and cultivate new directions in their work in New York City in August 2017.

Göran Kling will also host a pop-up shop at the Brooklyn Museum on August 26, 12-6 pm.
