Afripedia is a Swedish platform and visual guide to contemporary arts and culture of African creatives worldwide, created by Senay Berhe and Teddy Goitom. On May 3-9, the project contributes to The New York African Film Festival with a virtual reality installation at Lincoln Center.

Their project Afripedia – Dance Battle 360° is a showcase of contemporary African street dance culture from Dakar, Senegal, through the lens of virtual reality. An immersive experience that allows everyone to take part despite physical borders. Furthermore, Senay Berhe and Teddy Goitom share their perspectives in a panel discussion called Art and Activism: Personal Journeys on May 9.

During the end of the festival, the award-winning Swedish street dance documentary Martha & Niki will be screened at Brooklyn Academy of Music on May 27.
