The Consulate General promotes Swedish interests and increased trade between Sweden and the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. The Consulate provides assistance to Swedish companies that are seeking to develop business opportunities, as well as offers general information to companies that wish to invest in Sweden.

In addition, Business Sweden and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce are organizations that work to promote trade and facilitate business exchange between Sweden and the United States.
The mission of Business Sweden, the Swedish trade and invest council, is to promote and facilitate trade and investment between Sweden and the United States. With its extensive network and experience in Swedish industry and commerce, Business Sweden can identify the suppliers and provide answers about Swedish exports as well as assisting Swedish companies seeking to establish a presence in the United States. Business Sweden also aims to attract investments to Sweden by showcasing competency centers on the Swedish market, such as in manufacturing, science, technology, music, design and other industries.

The mission of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce is to promote trade, commerce and investment by providing leadership guidance to a network of Swedish and American companies.
