I. Diakonia

Diakonia's subprogramme includes political accountability, inclusive participation, and social and legal accountability, with a focus on the legal aspects of human rights. Diakonias subprogram involves the following organisations:

ACAMO - The Mozambican Association of the Blind and Amblyopic People. ACAMO develops diverse activities designed to promote and protect the basic rights of the visually impaired, at the economic, social, political, legal, cultural and civil level.

AMMCJ - The Mozambican Association of Women Lawyers. AMMCJ was founded in March 1995, made up of women who exercise their profession in the judicial-legal, including lawyers, judges, attorneys, notarial, legal techniques and law students. The mission is to promote women´s status and culture of law.

AWEPA- The Association of European Parliamentarians for Africa. The Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa (AWEPA) works in partnership with African parliaments to strengthen parliamentary democracy in Africa, keep Africa high on the political agenda in Europe, and facilitate African-European parliamentary dialogue.

CEDE - The Centre of Studies for Development and Democracy. CEDE is an acronym for Hundred Studies in Democracy and Development. It is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-partisan organization. It was created to serve as an impartial mechanism and a neutral forum for dialogue and research, with the aim of promoting citizenship, consolidate peace building and promoting national development.

LDH - The Human Rights League. LDH has the mission to promote Human Rights through advocacy, civic education, monitoring, and legal pressure and assistance where there is an institutional emptiness.

MULEIDE - The Association Women, Law and Development. MULEIDE's mission is to promote a culture of respect to human rights, especially those of women. MULEIDE has activities supporting conflict resolution and legal assistance and sponsorship. They also organize lectures and workshops to educate the community about their rights.

OE - The Electoral Observatory. A network of organisations scrutising the electoral process, from legislation and through the entire process.

PJ - The Youth Parliament. The PJ train young people in democracy and human rights related issues, e.g. by arranging lectures and debates with politicians.Coverage: National

Rede CAME - The Network against Abuse of Minors. A group of organizations dedicated to combat all forms of child abuse. This is done through advocacy, education and raising awareness.

Rede da Criança - The Child Network. Rede da Criança is concerned with the Protection of Child Rights, and children living in absolute poverty in the community.

II. IBIS

IBIS' sub-program is focused on the access to information, and involves the following partner organisations:

ACDH - Centre for Human Rights. ACDH has its headquarters in the Faculty of Law of the University of Eduardo Mondlane and aims to promote human rights through activities to support teaching, research, documentation and technical assistance to colleges and schools of law, civil society organizations, and public entities.

AMCS - Association of Women in the Media. AMCH promotes and strengthens the role of women in the development of marginalized communities, e.g. through the use of social media.

AMMO - Associacion of Musicians of Mozambique. An organisation consisting of musicians and other individuals engaged in tasks related to the production, study and dissemination of Mozambican music, with the objective to for example promote the development and release of music as a way to defend and form national unity.

CEC - The Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Communication. CEC was founded in 2010, with a mission of producing knowledge in the area of social communication. CEC has as a vision a country where research and social communication contribute to diverse spheres of development.

CESAB – Research Center Aquino de Bragança .CESAB is a non-profit, private cooperation, created in August 2009 and dedicated on research and education in social sciences in the area of Mozambique, Southern Africa and the African region as a whole. CESAB aims to implement action aimed at enforcement of human rights. It focuses on promoting a life in freedom and dignity supported by collective, social, political, civil and economic rights and opportunities. The most vulnerable groups in society are a main target.

CESC - The Centre for Civil Society Learning and Capacity-Building. An institution dedicated to facilitating learning and capacity building of civil society organizations, to improve the level and quality of citizen participation in development processes. There is a special focus on organisations at the local level.

Forcom - Community Radio Forum. A collective body for representing and defending the interests of community radio stations in Mozambique. The vision is to unite community radio stations, to strengthen them in order to improve the population's access to information.

GDI - Institute of Governance and Democracy. GDI promotes actions leading to greater practice of good governance at all levels. Through mobilization and capacity building of citizens, civil society organizations, private and public sector, and local communities, the organization aims at the realisation of good governance in Mozambique, crucial to the success of efforts to combat poverty.

IESEThe Institute for Social and Economic Studies. IESE is an independent Mozambican research institute that promotes research in the fields of social and economic development in Mozambique and Southern Africa. The research focus is problems with poverty, public planning, political, political participation and governance in an international and Mozambican context.

KUKUMBI. Kukumbi is a Mozambican organisation for rural development. It was established in 1997 by a union of young people in Zambezia with extensive experience of working with communities affected by war. It was recognized by the Government of the Zambezia Province in January 1998. Kukumbis vision is an improved community in which poverty has been eradicated and communities have control over their needs and development processes. Kukumbi strives to reduce poverty and increase community resilience to for example natural disasters by developing capacities of men, women, young and old, with or without disabilities.

MISA - Media Institute in Southern Africa. MISA play a central role in the promotion and development of an environment of freedom of the press, and access to information as well as independence, pluralism of views and opinion, competence, and financial sustainability of media.

OAM - The Bar Association in Mozambique. The Bar Association representing the lawyers of Mozambique. The mission is to contribute to the consolidation of democratic rule of law, through the defense of the Constitution, the fundamental rights, dignity and prestige of the profession of lawyers, as well as promote respect for their professional ethical principles for its members.

CODD - Centre for Studies and Promotion of Citizenship, Human Rights and the Environment. CODD's mission is to contribute to the promotion of Citizenship, Human Rights and the Environment in Mozambique, by conducting research and implementation of social projects.

CAICC - Centre for Information and Community Communication Support. A network that provides multifaceted services to its members, favoring the use of ICT. Facilitates information flows and horizontal communications, e.g. by providing technical support.

III. Oxfam Novib

Oxfam Novib focuses on financial accountability, including participation and social and legal accountability, with a focus on the underlying causes of discrimination. Oxfam Novib's subprogram involves the following organisations:

Akilizetho-ADS - Association for Development. An organisation active in the promotion of local governance and participation, especially at local and district levels.

CEMO - Centre for Mozambican and International Studies. A non-profit organisation that promotes the analysis and discussion of public policy strategies, sharing of knowledge in the technological, political, economic and socio-cultural sciences.

CIP - Centre for Public Integrety. The general objective of the CIP is to promote integrity, transparency, ethics and good governance in the public sphere, and to promote human rights in Mozambique.

Forum Mulher - Works for the rights of Mozambican women. Forum Mulher fight for a more fair society and gender equality in accordance with the Human Rights of Women.

FTI - Elderly Forum. FTI Works on the promotion of elderly rights through advocay in legislation processes.

GMD - Mozambican Debt Group. A coalition formed by legal entities and individuals committed to the economic and social development of the country in general and the foreign debt, poverty and good governance, in particular.

JOINT - League of NGOs in Mozambique. JOINT connect and strengthen the institutions of civil society in order to improve collective action for the common good as well as the dialogue with the Government and Private Sector.

LAMBDA - Mozambican Association for the Defence of Sexual Minorities. Leading the LGBT movement in Mozambique, LAMBDA mobilize society and promotes economic, political and social rights of LGBT citizens.

Magariro - Association for Community Development. Magariro is a non-governamental organization whose mission is to empower the most disadvantaged people and groups to advocate for their rights.

N'weti - Health and Development Communications. N'weti is a communication programme, working to promote health and development. It aims at developing communication initiatives to promote healthy behaviors with social, community, and individual impact in Mozambique.

RENSIDA - National Network of Associations of People Living with HIV/AIDS. The RENSIDA works to defend the rights of people living with HIV / AIDS, with a special focus on the right to treatment.

WLSA - Women and Law in Southern Africa. The mission of WLSA Mozambique is to help identify and disseminate the favourable contexts, the critical areas and the obstacles to equality between women and men, promoting changes in e.g. the law and in the administration of justice.

ESTAMOS – a community organization that has done integrated water supply, sanitation and hygiene work in both rural Niassa (4 districts) and Maputo as well as supporting other NGOs in other Provinces in Mozambique with water and sanitation support (Zambezia and Cabo Delgado).

IIII. We Effect

We Effect's sub-program is focused on accountability in natural resources and land management, and involves the following organisations:

AAACJ - Association for Judicial Assitance and Support to Communities. AAACJ train and give judicial support to communities to defend their land rights in presence of investing companies. They also do preventive monitoring of conflicts in mineral projects in the Tete province.

ABIODES - Association for Sustainable Development. The ABIODES consists of a group of Mozambicans, specialized in areas relevant to sustainable development, sustainable agriculture, environment and natural resources. They have many years of work experience in various fields of socio-economic activity in Mozambique, including project implementation, policy and strategy advisory, research extention, consulting, formal and informal education, etc.

AENA - National Association for Rural Extension. AENA work on facilitation and advocacy of sustainable utilization, management and governance of natural resources (empowering communities for dialogue with the investing company). They have operations in the Nampula province dealing with Kenmare heavy sand plant.

AMPCM - Association for the Promotion of Modern Cooperatives. Advocates and lobbies for cooperatives as well as institutional capacity building for their members. AMPCM is an umbrella organization with 40% of their members working on environment issues (recycling for organic fertilizers, papers, etc.).

Centro Terra Viva - Environmental Studies and Advocacy. The Centro Terra Viva - Environmental Studies and Advocacy (CTV), is a non-governmental Mozambican organisation for environmental research and intervention. It brings together professionals from different key areas in management of the environment and natural resources, especially the Environmental Law, Conservation and Environmental Management, Environmental Education and Information, Rural Economics, and Environmental Sociology.

JA! - Environmental Justice. The mission of JA! is to engender a culture of civil action in Mozambique, both through actions to protect the environment, and by actively engaging in developmental decisions pertaining to issues of environmental justice, here in Mozambique and throughout the rest of the world.

Livaningo - Organisation working on Environmental Advocacy. Livaningo is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, focused on environmental advocacy, sustainable development and social justice. It was formed in 1998, emerging as the first national NGO on environmental justice.

ORAM - Mutual Aid Association. ORAM is a non-profit organisation of associative character that brings together farmers and people committed to the cause of peasants, to defend their rights and interests.

UNAC - National Union of Farmers. UNAC struggle for an increased protagonism of small farmers in the construction of a society which is more just, prosperous and united. Promotes rural activism, technical and administrative training, the conceptualisation and implementation of development projects, and actions toward the mitigation of emergency situations.

UPTC - Provincial Farmers' Union in Tete. Based in Tete province and a member of the National Farmers Union (UNAC) the union lobby for and advocates farmers' land rights and conflict resolution.

OMRObservatory of Rural Areas. OMR is an open civil society organization which
aims to actively contribute to rural development in Mozambique. It has no link to any political and/or economic institution.  OMR conducts and publishes research papers and promotes discussions on topics relevant to rural development in Mozambique. OMR is also a digital bibliographic database on rural areas in Mozambique and the rest of the world.

UDEBA-LAB - Unit for the Development of Basic Education. A non-profit, technical-scientific, cultural and social association with administrative and financial autonomy. Through investigation-action UDEBA-LAB is involved in the development of basic education, where it stimulates and promotes participation, outspokenness and collaboration from all interested parties. .
