On the 8-9 May  there is a  delegation in Angola consisting of seven Swedish telecommunications / IT companies , led by the Swedish Minister for Trade, Dr Ewa Björling. The operation is carried out by the Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy in Luanda in collaboration with Ericsson.

The conference has today gathered over 100 participants.

The program includes seminars with presentations of Swedish expertise and solutions to ICT problems and meetings with policy makers and businesses. The aim is to promote Swedish solutions in the area of ​​ICT and create meeting among Swedish and Angolan companies to invest in sustainable ICT solutions.

"We are undergoing a very rapid development in the ICT field in Angola and there is therefore ample opportunities for Swedish companies to be successful in the Angolan market," the Swedish Ambassador Lena Sundh emphazised.

The seminars have gathered over 100 participants and the press conference was attended by a wide range of local media. Participants expressed appreciation for the program and established new business contacts which will hopefully lead to business within the priority areas in Angola.

The initiative is funded by and developed in collaboration with Government Offices Projects Export Secretariat and is an example of how the Embassy in collaboration with Business in Sweden can contribute to export promotion in the field.
