Emanuel Almborg at Whitechapel Gallery
The project and related exhibition will address the theme of technological mediation. From 27 April
The project and related exhibition will address the theme of technological mediation.
Working with a local school in east London, it will investigate children’s relation to everyday technology (mobile phones, ipads, tablets) and investigate key questions such as; how does technology affect thinking, attention, communication and sociality?
What relationship do children have to these technological devices? What is lost and gained when more time is spent in front of screens? These are some of the questions to be addressed and further developed in dialogue with a local school.
The exhibition will take place in Whitechapel’s Project Space The new film will be shown alongside Almborg’s other collaborative work.
There will be a public programme featuring screenings and discussions to coincide with the opening.
