We extend a warm welcome to the new Ambassador of Sweden to Malaysia, Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt.

Ambassador Juhlin-Dannfelt took up his new position in Malaysia on 2 September, after having served for five years as Swedish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he also served as non-resident Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen.  Malaysia will be the Ambassador's first posting in South East Asia, having previously held diplomatic positions at the Swedish Embassies in Teheran, Tel Aviv and Islamabad as well as having served as Director and Deputy Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm.

Ambassador Juhlin-Dannfelt is looking forward to continuing the good work of his predecessor, Ambassador Bengt G Carlsson, in further strengthening the already good bilateral relations between Sweden and Malaysia. In addition to a new Ambassador, the Embassy of Sweden also welcomes the new Head of Chancery of the Embassy, Mrs Susanna Insulander, who began her duty at the Embassy on 29 August.
