Scam - Fraudulent work permits

The Embassy has become aware of fraudulent individuals trying to extract money from persons who are seeking work permits in Sweden.

Advertisements have been done through various local radio stations and newspapers, and websites (ex. with incorrect information have been created. The Embassy hereby informs the public that these individuals, one by the names of Lawrence Friday, are in no way associated with the Embassy nor the Swedish Migration Agency.

We would like to encourage all applicants for work permits to follow the standard application routines, which include paying the application fee directly to the Embassy bank account at Stanbic Bank. Online application fees are paid via the electronic application portal.
