Business visa

When applying for a business visa for Sweden, you must submit all of the following documents.

Please note that it is important to submit all the required documents. Missing documents may cause rejection of the application.

1. Application for Schengen Visa, completely filled, signed and dated.

2. Appendix A – Questionnaire for applicants, completely filled, signed and dated.

3. Two (2) photograph 35 x 40 mm in colour, not older than 6 months. The photograph must show full face and taken against a plain, evenly lit and light background. The photoghraphs must not be altered.

4. Passport and its copy of the page with biometric data and previous Schengen visas. The passport should be valid at least a further three (3) months after the date of expiry of the visa and shall contain at least two blank pages.

5. Evidence of purpose of the visit, hotel reservation and flight bookings.

6. Invitation from company or organization in Sweden. The invitation must contain details as; personal particulars of the applicant, the purpose of the visit, arrival and departure dates, who will cover the travel- and hotel expenses, the registration number of the Swedish Company

7. The original support letter in English from your employer which shall indicate; personal particulars of the applicant, the purpose of the visit, arrival and departure dates, who will pay for the travel- and hotel expenses

8. Applicants should bring the suitable documents according to their occupation,

     For employees;
         - Social Insurance entry (SGK), SGK diary with barcode and 
            salary payment roll
         - Registry document of the Company,
         - Circular of signatures
         - Tax document

     For employers;
         - Registry document of the Company
         - Circular of signatures
         - Tax document

9. Travel insurance with 30,000 euros coverage. The insurance should cover the whole planned travel period.

Additional documents might be required by Consulate General.

An application can be submitted at the earliest 3 months before the planned trip.

A visa does not provide automatic permission to enter into the Schengen Area. It is up to the border control authorities to decide on the entry. It is therefore important that you, at the border, can present documents such as return ticket, insurance, means of support and hotel reservation.
