Special Call for Project Applications on Gender Equality and Women’s Rights!

The Section for Turkish-Swedish Development Cooperation at the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul hereby announces a special call for applications for civil society organizations working in the field of gender equality.  

We welcome proposals that aim to increase the political agency of
women and girls, which enhance their visibility as actors and provide forums where they can make their voices heard. We also seek projects that aim to promote sexual rights without discrimination and to end abuse, violence and sexual harassment against women.

We encourage projects that foster novel collaborations
 between different institutions and sectors of society;
that include activities in multiple regions of Turkey;
and that are co-funded with other grant makers.

Application procedure
The proposed projects should fall within the Section's results strategy. Before filling out the application, we recommend that you read the full results strategy here. If you are unsure whether your project qualifies for a grant, we recommend you to send a preliminary inquiry with a brief description of your project via email to the Section. The maximum sum awarded per project is 100.000 Turkish Lira. The duration of the project should not exceed one year. Contact information can be found below.
 
Who can apply?
NGOs, foundations, associations, think tanks, academic, political, cultural and governmental institutions are welcome to apply. Applications from individual or businesses are not eligible.
In order for your project to be eligible for review by the Section for Turkish- Swedish Development Cooperation, you must complete the "Grant Application Form", which you will find in the right column of this page.
The form must be completed in English.
Note the mandatory documents that you need to include your application.
Please attach a detailed project description to the application form.
The budget should be made in Turkish Lira.
The completed application form should be sent to the Section for Turkish-Swedish Development Cooperation (contact infromation below) by regular mail. The application must be signed by an authorized person. The Section does not accept incomplete applications or applications sent by fax or by email.
 
Application deadline
Deadline for applications is 15 April 2016.
Applicants will be notified by 13 May 2016.
