How to apply if you live in Mauritius

The quickest way is to apply online. After applying, you attend the required interview and present your documents at the Hon. Consulate of Sweden in Port Louis.

To see which rules apply, which documents you require and how you go about making an application, read the other pages on the menu on the left. The difference here is that you do the interview at the Hon. Consulate of Sweden in Port Louis.

Once you have applied online and subsequently received an instruction to make an appointment, you contact the Consulate.

You can find the address of the Hon. Consulate of Sweden under ‘Contact’ in the menu on the left.

You can also present your application at the Consulate on a paper form, but that means you will have to wait longer for a decision. To make an appointment to present an application on a paper form and do the interview, you contact the Consulate.

Resident permit card

If you have been granted a residence permit and do not require a visa, which is the case for citizens of Mauritius, you travel to Sweden and arrange for the card there. Contact the Swedish Migration Board for the biometric (photographing, fingerprints and signature).
