Honorary Consul General of Sweden in Dublin receives the order of the Polar Star

The Honorary Consul General of Sweden in Dublin Paul Keane attended the Honorary Consuls Conference in Stockholm on 18-21 September where he received the order of the Polar Star from His Majesty the King of Sweden.

Together with Ambassador of Sweden to Ireland, Anna Brandt, Paul Keane participated at the conference where he met with colleagues from around the world to discuss the possibilities of how honorary consulates can help to further promote Swedish interests in the world.

On 19th September the Honorary Consuls attended an audience with His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen of Sweden during which Paul Keane, Honorary Consul General in Dublin received the order of the Polar Star (Knight of the First Class). The order was conferred as recognition for work done in maintaining and promoting Swedish interests with Ireland.
