Visa to Sweden
Australian and New Zealand citizens do not require a visa when visiting Sweden and the Schengen-states for up to 90 days.
Applications for Residence and/or Work Permits as well as Working Holiday Visa for Sweden are handled by the Embassy of Sweden (see links to the left).
A Schengen visa is required for persons of certain nationalities who wish to visit the Schengen countries.
New Visa Information System
As from May 15, 2014 all applicants, applying for a Schengen visa, must submit biometric data - ten fingerprints and a digital photo. The biometric data is stored in the Visa Information System (VIS), which is an IT-system that allows Schengen States to exchange visa data.
