H.E. Mr. Jan Lundin (LL.M) is the Ambassador of Sweden to Serbia and Montenegro since 28 July 2016.

He came from the position as Director General of Permanent International Secretariat of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) since September 2010. Prior to his appointment as Director General, he was Minister, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Political Department at the Embassy of Sweden to Germany.

Mr Lundin began his diplomatic career in 1984 serving at the Embassy of Sweden in Belgrade until 1986. He has been posted at the Embassy of Sweden in Lithuania (1992-1994), the Russian Federation (1994-1998), Serbia and Montenegro (2001-2006). In his fifth and last year in Moscow he assumed the role of European Executive Director of the Russian-European Centre for Economic Policy (RECEP).

From 1987 to 1988,  Mr. Lundin was a researcher for the Stockholm Institute for Soviet and East European Economics as well as the Institute for Soviet and East European Politics at Uppsala University. In 1989, he worked as a Political Editor for the Swedish daily Uppsala NyaTidning. He has also worked as Area Manager at the Swedish Trade Council. Alongside with his native Swedish, Mr. Lundin is fluent in English, German, Russian and Serbian.

Mr Lundin is married to Milica Lundin and has two daughters.
