Short term work permit

If you are planning to work in Sweden for less than three months you need to apply for both a work permit and a Schengen visa for business.

Documents issued by the authorities in your country of origin are to be submitted together with a translation in Swedish or English by an authorised translator.

You need a work permit to work in Sweden. If you will work in Sweden for less than three months you also need a Schengen visa.

Both applications should be submitted and paid for at the Swedish Embassy. The applications are then sent to the Swedish Migration Agency for a decision. The processing time is usually over one month.
