30 years of Sida-financed Sino-Swedish collaboration on environment and sustainable urbanization
A seminar was organized on the 18 November in Beijing to commemorate 30 years of Sida-financed collaboration between Sweden and China in the field of environment and sustainable urbanization.
About 100 people attended the seminar, representing the two countries’ environment ministries and other governmental institutions, academic institutions, and companies.
An exhibition of projects from the past year was shown to display the width and multitude of the collaboration. Focus was put on new forms of collaboration as bilateral cooperation will be phased out in 2013.
Two contracts were signed between Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) and the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office (MEP-FECO) and the Swedish company ÅF and the city of Qingdao.
