Visa for visiting Sweden

In order to travel to Sweden for a shorter period than three months, Thai citizens need a Schengen visa. For more general information about visas, please see the Swedish Migration Board homepage, For information about the Embassy’s requirements for issuing different visas, please refer to the different headlines on the right hand side column of this page.

If the applicant plans to stay longer than 90 days in Sweden, he/she needs to apply for a residence permit (for instance for visits, studies or work). For more information please refer to For stays more than 90 days or Study in Sweden or Work & live in Sweden.

To improve the service for persons who wish to apply for visas to Sweden, the Embassy has entered into an agreement with VFS Global to facilitate the reception of Schengen visa applications for stays in Sweden shorter than three months.
