Fees

You pay a fee for your residence permit application. The money is not refunded if your application is rejected.

Fee for residence permits for studies

Adults: SEK 1 000 (THB 4 200 / PHP 5 740)
Children under 18: SEK 500 (THB 2 100 / PHP 2 870)

Fee for family members

Adults: SEK 1 000 (THB 4 200 / PHP 5 740)
Children under 18: SEK 500 (THB 2 100 / PHP 2 870)

Payment

If you are applying online, you pay with a credit card or a bank card.

If you are applying on a paper form, you must pay the application fee before visiting the embassy. You can pay the fee at any UOB bank in Bangkok (there is one for instance in the same building as the embassy). The fee is to be paid into account number 795-1-05431-7 and the account holder is ‘Swedish Embassy’.

Exemptions

Some people are not required to pay for their applications, including the following:

  • Students on scholarships from Sida or another Swedish organisation or international organisation, such as the EU or UNICEF.
  • Students at the World Maritime University in Malmö

Study fees

You may also be required to pay a fee for your studies. This is decided by each respective university or university college. Contact the school concerned for information.
