The Section for Migration Affairs at the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok is seeking applications to fill the following position:
Position Title: Temporary Staff at positions as Migration Assistant
Conditions: 4-5 Months starting March 2018
The Section for Migration Affairs at the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok handles a large number of applications for visa, residence permit and work permit every year. The peak season for applications is between March and July. During this period the Embassy requires extra staffs to meet the increasing demand of services.
Under the supervision of the Counsellor at the Section of Migration Affairs the Migration Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
- Screen and register applications
- Printing permit stickers
- Conduct interviews with applicants
- Filing and other administrative work
- Any other duty at the visa section that may be assigned by the Counsellor at the Section of Migration Affairs
2. Essential Qualifications:
Education: University Degree (is an advantage).
Experience: Experience in (a) field/s of relevance for the administrative work.
Knowledge/skills: Excellent intra-personal skills. Ability to independently perform duties and to ensure the delivery and completion of tasks, also under periods of high work load. Flexibility and ability to prioritise tasks. Accurate, Cooperative and Service-Minded. Good computer literacy.
Language: Excellent command of English and Thai language, both orally and in writing.
Fluency in Swedish a merit.
3. Desirable skills and/or experiences:
Previous experience of Swedish governmental authorities. Experience of work at a Swedish Embassy.
Previous experience of working with, or handling administrative work with migration organizations.
