How to apply
The quickest and easiest way to apply for a visa is to do so online.
If you cannot apply on the Internet yourself, you are allowed to let the person you are visiting in Sweden to fill out and pay for the application. Remember that the reference person must have access to the information in your passport to be able to fill out the form, for example spelling your name, date of birth and passport number.
You can apply online together with your husband/wife and unmarried children under 18 years of age. Any other people have to make their own online application.
How to proceed:
1. Prepare the documentation
Check at the Migration Agency website which documents and personal information you need. You must for instance have arranged for a passport and medical travel insurance and you must also have an invitation from the person you will be visiting in Sweden.

2. Make an appointment
To make an appointment at the Swedish Embassy in Athens:
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. or
Call the Embassy on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:00-13:00. Phone number +30 210 7266 180 or
Visit the Embassy Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00-13:00.
3. Pay the application fee
The fee is EUR 60. The visa fee for minors aged 6-12 years is EUR 35. There are however certain exceptions to this rule. Visit the Swedish Migration Agency’s website to find out more.
To be paid in cash with the application.
4. Visit the embassy
Bring the completed application form, all the required documents to the embassy at the appointed time. If you do not have all the documents with you, there is a risk that your application will be rejected. During the visit, you may be required to answer some additional questions.
All family members who apply at the same time – including children – must visit the embassy.
