Visa for visiting Sweden – Non UAE nationals
In order to visit Sweden you may need an entry visa. An entry visa is a permit required by persons wishing to enter Sweden for a temporary visit, for example:
- on business or to take part in a conference or training
- to visit relatives and friends
- for tourism

Step-by-step guide to acquire your visa
1) Download the visa application forms or collect them at the Embassy.
2) Each Applicant has to fill out 3 forms, the Schengen application form, Appendix D (even if you are travelling alone) and the questionnaire related to the purpose of your trip, you can find all these (3) forms on the right side of this page. Make sure to fulfil all requirements.
3) All Applicants have to arrange an appointment before visiting the Embassy.

The following information should be provided in the e-mail:
- Name of the applicant(s)
- Telephone number
- Purpose of the visit
- The date of the planned trip
4) Visa fee.
- Visa fee is (300 AED)
- Children under 6 years (no fee)
- Children 6 to 12 years (170 AED).
P.S. Each Applicant has to provide the exact amount in cash (UAE Dirham) ,credit cards and other forms of payment are not accepted.
The following will be exempted from paying a fee:
- children under the age of six years,
- schoolchildren,
- students in higher education,
- research students and their accompanying teachers - on condition that the purpose of the trip is studies or education
- researchers - on condition that the purpose of the visit is scientific research.
Reduced fee
Citizens of certain countries will pay a reduced fee (170 AED) due to special agreements with the EU. This applies to citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine.
