The objective of the MoU is to promote bilateral cooperation between the countries in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit. A number of high priority areas has been identified under the MoU.
A Joint Working Group (JWG) comprising of officials from Sweden and India will work with the coordination and implementation of the MoU.
