Swedish Christmas Tree and Lucia

One of the most loved Swedish traditions are the Lucia celebrations in the middel of dark december.

The Swedish Lucia spirit comes to The Hague. Don't miss the following events:

15 December - Swedish Christmas Tree
As a gift to The Hague, a Swedish Christmas tree is placed on Lange Voorhout, right outside the museum 'Escher in het Paleis'. The lights in the Swedish Christmas Tree will be lit on Tuesday 15 December, 18.00 in the presence of the Swedish ambassador and representatives from The Hague city. The Adolf Fredrik's Girls Choir will appear singing traditional Lucia songs and hot drinks will be served.

16 December - Santa Lucia Concert
Enjoy a unique performance – the Santa Lucia Concert with the Adolf Fredrik's Girls Choir from Stockholm. The choir has come all the way from Sweden to give one exclusive performance in Kloosterkerk, The Hague. The Adolf Fredrik's Girls Choir is one of Sweden’s best. The choir performs the well known and loved Lucia songs. The concert starts at 18.00 hours, (doors open at 17.30)  in the Kloosterkerk, Lange Voorhout 4, The Hague.
Tickets:  € 7,-  available at the Swedish Embassy, Jan Willem Frisolaan 3, The Hague (Opening hours Mo-Fr: 9.00 – 12.00) and at the door. You can also order tickets via eu-events.haag@foreign.ministry.se
