Applications for residence- and work permits should be submitted to the Migration (Visa) Section at the Embassy of Sweden. It may take up to 10 months before you have a decision on your application.

Applications by reason of family ties should include, where appropriate, supporting documents such as a proof of personal registration for a reference person, birth certificates and marriage certificates.

Applications for work permits should include an offer of employment.

Applications for residence permit by reason of studies should include a proof of admission to a school or a university in Sweden and a proof of sponsorship.
