Provisional regulation regarding non-biometric passports

Important information for persons travelling to Sweden/the Schengen area from 1 October until 31 December 2009.

Persons holding a new Serbian/Montenegrin biometric passport

If you hold a new Serbian/Montenegrin biometric passport with a valid Schengen visa, you can enter into the Schengen area at all Schengen border crossings.

Persons holding a new Serbian/Montenegrin biometric passports together with a valid Schengen visa which is issued in an old blue Yugoslav passport.

If you hold a new Serbian/Montenegrin biometric passport together with a valid Schengen visa which is issued in an old blue Yugoslav passport, you can fly directly to Sweden on these documents. However, if you plan to enter Sweden via another country in the Schengen area, please contact relevant embassy/consulate to make sure that entry is possible on these documents. If the Schengen visa is issued by the Swedish Embassy in Belgrade, the visa sticker may be transferred to the new Serbian biometric passport at the Embassy in Belgrade, for opening hours please check our webpage.

Persons only holding an old blue Yugoslav passport with a valid Schengen visa

If you only hold a valid old blue Yugoslav passport with a valid Schengen visa you can fly directly to Sweden on this document. However, if you plan to enter the Schengen area in another country than Sweden, please contact relevant embassy/consulate to make sure that entry is possible on this document.
