Sweden will hold the rotating EU Presidency from July to the end of December. These six months are very important ones for the EU, where we expect to see a new European Parliament convening, a new European Commission selected and a clearer picture on the future of the Lisbon Treaty.
The incoming Presidency has announced that dealing with the economic and financial crisis and addressing climate change will be its top priorities. The two ambassadors will further explain these priorities within the context of EU-Japan relations.
