The application has to be complete at the time for handing in the application.

Travel document
valid at least three months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States, issued within the previous 10 years and containing at least two blank pages as well as copies of the id-page of the travel document and all pages containing visas and stamps

Visa fee
- if the application is rejected the fee will not be repaid
Travel medical insurance
, covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay. The insurance shall be valid throughout the territory of the Member States and cover the entire period of the person's intended stay. The minimum coverage shall be EUR 30 000.

proving sufficient means of subsistence, both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to the country of origin or residence (translated into English). The minimum amount is 40 EUR/day. If a person has sufficient means is determined by different factors. Personal circumstances, the purpose and length of the visit, accomodation by relatives or friends or at a hotel as well as costs for food and drinks is taken in consideration.
If the costs are covered by the referee, proof of stable income shall be proven by for example extract of bank account showing the last three months as well as contract of employment
Contract of employment
and proof of income including permissible vacation regarding the applicant. Regarding students/pupils, a proof of permitted leave shall be certified by the school
