How to applyIf a family member would like to apply as a co-applicant, he/she can either apply electronically at the same time as you or, if not applying at the same time as you, contact the Consulate to book an appointment for handing in an offline application.

To book an appointment for handing in an offline application as a co-applicant to a student you can either contact us via phone weekdays between 15.00-16.00 on 021-5359 9639 or via email: generalkonsulat-visum@foreign.ministry.se. The Consulate will forward your application to the Swedish Migration Board and as soon as a decision is ready a residence permit card will automatically be ordered.
You are required to enclose the following documents with your application (note that all documents must be submitted in original):

For children (under 18 years old) with one or both parents in Sweden, or children accompanying a parent to Sweden:
If you fail to supply the necessary documents mentioned above, the decision-making process of your case may be delayed. The Consulate General may call you for additional documents or information if necessary.
