Waived Fees

There is no fee for the following categories mentioned in the visa facilitation agreement for processing a visa application within normal processing time of 10 (ten) calendar days:

1. Close relatives (spouses, children – also adopted, parents – including custodians, grandparents and grandchildren) to Ukrainian citizens legally residing in the territory of the Member States.

2. Members of official delegations who shall participate in meetings, consultations or exchange programmes.

3. Members of national and regional Governments, Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts.

4. Disabled persons and the person accompanying them, if necessary.

5. Participant in international sports events and persons accompanying them.

6. Persons who has to undertake the trip on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment, and the person accompanying. Persons who has to attend to the funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative.

7. Pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purpose of study or educational training.

8. Persons participating in scientific, cultural and artistic activities including university or exchange programmes.

9. Participants in official exchange programmes organised by twin cities.

11. Pensioners

12. Drivers conducting international cargo and / or passenger services to the territories of Member States in vehicles registered in Ukraine

13. Members of train, refrigerator and locomotive crews in international trains, travelling to the territories of Member States.

14. Children under the ages of 18 years and dependent children under the age of 21.

Exceptions:
If applicants of categories 1, 6, 8-9, 12-13 above requests an urgent visa (applies three days before the scheduled journey) a 35 Euro fee has to be paid.

Exempted from visa application fee

The following visa applicants, of all citizenchips, are exempted from application fee :

• Children under the age of six years;

• Schoolchildren, students in higher education, research students and their accompanying teachers – if the purpose of the trip is study or educational training;

• Researchers – if the purpose of the trip is for scientific research;

• Close family members* (consult the Visa Chancellery to find out who is a close family member according to the rules) of citizens of an EU-country, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland - if they will travel with that relative or meet in connection with the journey. The applicant must present a certificate which confirms the relationship;

• Students who have received scholarships for studies in Sweden from Sida or other Swedish or international organizations.

*) Relatives of Swedish nationals have to pay a fee to apply for a visa.
