Tourists travelling to Sweden on their own and not through an accredited travel agency should submit their applications personally. > List of accredited travelling agencies.
The following documents are required:
• Application for Schengen visa, completed in block letters, dated and signed. > Application form – Schengen Visa
• Appendix D (Family Appendix for Visa Applicants); completed in block letters> Appendix D
• Passport or other travel document, signed, valid for at least three months after scheduled return, copies of its identification page, copies of previous visas and stamps. Copies of all valid passports and old passports should be enclosed.
• Domestic passport and copies of all 16 pages it.
• Proof of:– accommodation (e.g. confirmation of advance payment for hotel, cottage or apartment etc.)– Roundtrip-ticket and a copy of it.
• Proof (e.g. bank statement, travellers' cheques) of sufficient financial means for your keep. The Swedish authorities has decided that you need 40 euro per day to support yourself during your stay in Sweden. This amount can sometimes be lower, if for instance food and accommodation is paid in advance.

• If you are working; a certificate from the current employer stating what you do, how long you have been working there, what your salary is and that you are entitled to vacation should be submitted. The certificate has to contain contact information to the company, the name of the person signing the certificate as well as his/her signature. If you are a private entrepreneur, you should submit registration certificate for your company and declared income for the company. If you are studying; you should submit a certificate from the institution where you are studying, confirming your status.
• Two [2] coloured photographs, size 35x45 mm, recent and of true likeness, showing full face, taken against a plain, evenly lit and light background.
