Mr Krasniqi held talks with Mr. Westerberg, with members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affaires and its Chairman, Mr Göran Lennmarker, as well as with the Chairman of the Swedish Delegation to the Council of Europe Mr Göran Lindblad. Members of the Standing Committees on Justice and on the Constitution, the Institution of the Ombudman and the Swedish National Audit Office participated in a working luncheon.
The talks concerned Kosovo’s development after its declaration of independence in 2008, and its efforts to become part of the international community, as well as its possibilities of closer relationship with the EU, Nato and other international organisations. An initiative was taken to form a Parliamentary Friendship Association for Kosovo in the Swedish Riksdag.Mr Krasniqi also met with the Swedish Minister for Defence, Mr. Sten Tolgfors.Mr Krasniqi was accompanied by the Member of the Presidium Mr Naxhat Daci, the Members of Parliament Safate Hadergjonat and Suzan Novoberdaliu, the Chef de Cabinet Mahmet Hajrizi and Skender Recicia, responsible for Protocol.
