The aim of the MoU is to promote bilateral cooperation between the countries on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual exchange and benefit. A range of areas for cooperation has been identified under the MoU.
For coordination and implementation of the MoU, a Joint Working Group (JWG) comprising of officials from India and Sweden has been set up. The first meeting of the JWG took place on the same day of the MoU signing ceremony.
