Trade relations between Sweden and Slovenia

In the period from January till October 2008, the Swedish export to Slovenia amounted to 116,5 million Euros and Swedish import from Slovenia to 124 million Euros.

Sweden exports to Slovenia mainly: tractors and trailers (17,3%), printing machines (6,4%), flat-rolled products of alloy steel (6,2%), electrical apparatus for line telephony and cables from optical fibres(2,1%).

Slovenia exports to Sweden: motor cars and other vehicles for a transport of people (19,1%), trailers and semi trailers (10,1%), furniture (5%), springs from iron or steels (4,3%), wooden constructions (3,4%) and electrical thermal household appliances (3,2%)

Many Swedish companies are active on the Slovene market:
ABB, Alfa Laval South East Europe, Assa Abloy Slovenija doo, AstraZeneca, Bisnode doo, Swedish Match (Cyan doo), Bonnier Business Press (Slovene business newspaper Finance), Electrolux Ljubljana doo, Duni AB (E-Stil doo), Ericsson, Thule (Fux doo), H&M, Järnforsen International doo, Mercuri International doo (part of Bure Equity AB), Oriflame Kozmetika doo, Scania, SKF, Veolia, Volvo doo, Åkers Valji Ravne doo (part of Åkers AB) and some others.

There are some Slovene companies located in Sweden: Iskraemeco Sverige AB, Elan doo, Krka Sverige AB, Gorenje AB and Riko Nord.

There is a Swedish Slovene Business Group set up in Slovenia. The purpose of the Group is to exchange information, views and to create a business network and strengthen economic relations between Slovenia and Sweden. The meetings take place every 3 months in one of the Swedish Slovene companies or in the Residence of Ambassador. There is no membership fee or any other costs related to it.
