Swedish Eyes Focused on Washington During Election

Hundreds of thousands of Swedes are closely following the 2008 American presidential election.

In House of Sweden, a major Swedish network, TV4, has set up a complete studio to broadcast a live morning show for three days, plus a six hour election night watch, as part of its coverage of the U.S. election.

Other major channels, SVT, TV8 and Channel 5 have also established sites for broadcasting live from Washington, DC.  Extensive radio coverage will be provided live by Swedish Radio (SR).

House of Sweden will be the location of a Valvaka (Election watch) on Tuesday night for guests who will follow the results from both Swedish and American channels on large screens.

House of Sweden will again open to the public on Friday, November 7th at noon.

Café Bites & Sounds will reopen at noon on Saturday, November 8th.
